Between now and the end of April, we will feature some of the NFL stars of tomorrow. Many of these are names from big time college football programs you will recognize, while some will be new to all but the most dedicated followers of the sport.
The video today features Temple DE/LB Haason Reddick. After a career in the American Athletic Conference where he grew by leaps and bounds each year, Reddick put on a show at the NFL Combine where he wowed the scouts in attendance with his athletic ability.
As a senior last season, Reddick was a first-team all-conference selection as he finished third in the nation in tackles for loss (22.5) and leading the Owls with 10.5 sacks. Reddick is an explosive athlete and while his 40-yard-dash time of 4.52 at the combine was the best out of projected linebackers (assuming Jabrill Peppers is a safety) it was the three-cone and other quick, agility based drills that really caught the scouts eyes.
Moving from a top 40 prospect to a top 20 prospect is not all that easy but Reddick managed to boost his stock by that sort of level with his combine performance. Reddick is also clearly more than just a workout warrior as his numbers and his play on tapes like this one match up with the best at his position in the country.
