Between now and the end of April we will be featuring some of the stars of tomorrow. Many of these are names from big time college football programs you will recognize, while some will be new to all but the most dedicated followers of the sport.
Today we look at Jamal Adams, a strong safety out of LSU who was a dominant force in the SEC and who has all the tools to be an elite player at his position at the next level.
If Jamal Adams played a different position then there would be plenty of buzz around him being the number one overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Adams is regarded by many as the most complete player in the entire draft, the most NFL ready player straight out of the gate, and he is someone who will stand out at the combine given his unique blend of strength and athleticism.
The only factor working against him being one of the first players off of the board is the way that safties are valued (low) in the NFL.
Even with that being said, you will find drafts out there where Adams is taken at #1 by the Cleveland Browns. Looking at this video will begin to clue you in on why this is the case.
Adams can literally do anything on the field and if he rocks u to the combine and proves without a doubt that ge can play corner in the NFL (to go with his safety size) then the chances of him disappearing off of the board before any other player will be dramatically increased.
