Trick plays are fairly common in college football. But fake trick plays? That's something different entirely. Check out this fake flea-flicker Purdue pulled off against Rutgers Saturday:
Fake flea-flicker?
Sure, why not?

Junior running back DJ Knox takes the handoff from quarterback Elijah Sindelar and turns around, as though to execute the flea flicker. But then he takes off for a 41-yard gain.
Purdue would kick a field goal on the drive, but Rutgers ended up taking a 14-12 win thanks to a missed two-point conversion for the Boilermakers.
Rutgers moved to 2-2 in Big Ten play, while Purdue fell to 1-3.
