College football is here! … Kind of. Spring football is going on across the country, so it's time to start talking about the upcoming season.

Every year, more and more freshmen play pivotal roles on their teams. So who could be some of those guys this year?
Below is a list of ten freshmen who could be impact players right away for their new teams.

10. Anthony Hines, LB — Texas A&M
The Plano, Texas star linebacker kicks off our list. Ranked one of the top players in a state loaded with talent, Hines should be able to step into a Texas A&M program hit hard by the NFL Draft.

9. Lamont Wade, CB — Penn State
One of the top defensive backs in the country by most recruiting rankings, Lamont Wade was a big get for the Penn State Nittany Lions.

8. Devon Hunter, S — Virginia Tech
The Chesapeake, Virginia safety stayed close to home at Virginia Tech, and the Holies will benefit from one of the best defensive back recruits in the entire country.

7. Alex Leatherwood, OT — Alabama
The first of two Alabama recruits on this list, Alex Leatherwood is one of the top linemen prospects in the country. He will help continue Alabama's "ground-and-pound" legacy.

6. Foster Sarell, OT — Stanford
The top lineman prospect by many rankings services, Stanford landed a star in the Washington product. Sarell will help continue he tradition of talented Stanford linemen.

5. Jaelan Phillips, DE — UCLA
UCLA picked up a hige prospect in five-star Redlands, California defensive end Jaelan Phillips, the No. 1 defensive end in the country by most rankings services. UCLA loses some depth on the defensive line and Phillips should be able to step in and help right away.

4. Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR — Michigan
Donovan Peoples-Jones doesn't just have the best name on this list, he's got the best hands, too. Michigan landed a stud in the five-star prospect out of Detroit, Michigan.

3. Jeffrey Okudah, CB — Ohio State
Ohio State has done well on the recruiting trail under Urban Meyer, and landed another gem in 5-star corner Jeffrey Okudah out of Grand Prairie, Texas. The Buckeye to be flashes some serious potential in his highlight reel.

2. Cam Akers, RB — Florida State
Akers comes in at No. 2 on this list, but it would by no means be a stretch to have him at No. 1. He's dynamic, explosive and will be an immediate impact player for a Florida State team losing Dalvin Cook to the NFL.

1. Najee Harris, RB — Alabama
Surprise, surprise, Alabama has added one of the most explosive weapons in the recruiting class of 2017. Najee Harris is a 5-star product out of Antioch, California. There's really not much else to say — watch this kid's highlight reel and prepare for his time with the Tide.
