Alabama retained its place atop the College Football Top 100 Rankings, but there's a new No. 2 beneath the Tide in Week 8 after Georgia's blowout loss at LSU.
Despite an open date, Clemson jumped from No. 5 to No. 2 thanks to the Bulldogs' loss and subpar performances from Ohio State and Notre Dame, both of whom didn't move. LSU is in the top five for the first time this season.
Five new teams entered the Top 100, including UCLA and Liberty, and 12 teams jumped at least 10 spots, led by Tennessee, who's demolition of Auburn vaulted them 23 spots to No. 61. The Tigers, meanwhile, took the biggest nosedive of the week, falling 22 spots to No. 36.
