The New England Patriots just won the Super Bowl, in case you didn’t hear. They did it despite trailing by 25 in the third quarter, and lacking their biggest (and perhaps best) offensive weapon: tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The big fella was forced to miss the remainder of the regular season after a hit by Seattle safety Earl Thomas knocked his soul from his body in Week 10.
No matter, as only Gronk can do, the stud tight end still managed to steal a little of the spotlight thanks to this Super Bowl ad:
Guys! I have my own touchdown dance thx to @JustinBieber, @terrellowens & @RobGronkowski! Calls. Selfies. Spikes…accurate! #unlimitedmoves pic.twitter.com/di3CipaDkg

So don’t feel too bad for the guy. He received a second championship ring and got to enjoy the spoils of being in the big game, despite not playing in the big game.
Just for the heck of it, I thought it’d be cool to drum up some of Gronk’s high school highlights. Some of these are pretty fantastic, and hint at the incredible talent this guy would demonstrate in the NFL.
Enjoy!
The first is a brief clip that show Gronk playing … wait for it … basketball at Williamsville North in 2006. It’s tough to tell what the hell is going on as the footage looks like it was shot on a used camcorder in 1994, but you get the gist:

Here are some highlights of Gronk playing football at Woodland Hills — it’s not really fair as Gronk literally stands head and shoulders above the rest. He was a 4-star recruit when he signed with Arizona, ranked the No. 4 tight end and No. 84 prospect overall in the country by 247Sports.com.

Here are some highlights from Gronk’s days as an Arizona Wildcat. Dayum.

Finally, here’s a compilation of the tight end’s funniest bits. And yes, some of them are actually funny.
