Matt Fortuna of The Athletic summed up Florida State's blowout loss at Boston College on Friday night perfectly, calling it a "comedy of errors."

Among the errors were repeated overthrows, three turnovers and head-scratching penalties. And while the Seminoles deserved to lose the game by the 32-point margin they did, they were the victim of a terrible call.
Midway through the third quarter, Florida State trailed 28-3 and were in dire need of a stop. They got it, forcing an Eagles' punt on 4th-and-5 from their own 38-yard-line. On the punt, Seminoles' sophomore linebacker Emmett Rice made contact with punter Mike Knoll, which drew a five-yard penalty and gave Boston College a first down.
Yes, Rice technically made contact with Knoll, but it was Knoll who really prompted the flag. It was more of a hug than anything else.
