No. 39: Ronley Lakalaka, LB — San Diego State
There aren't many Nos. 39 playing key roles in college football, but that doesn't mean Ronley Lakalaka is the best No. 39 in the FBS by default. The San Diego State linebacker is a beast and one of the most reliable players in the Mountain West.
Three years ago, Lakalaka was a little-known, low-ranked recruit from Punahou High School in Honolulu who accepted his lone scholarship offer. But after playing sparingly as a true freshman in 2015, he has transformed into an all-conference player who led the Aztecs in tackles last year.
