Oregon softball looked to be in a great position to beat their deepest ever run at the Women's College World Series, but a late Oklahoma rally saw the Sooners college softball team victorious and moving on.
Oregon was leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth when the third-seeded Ducks began to unravel. That the whole tide of the series turned on a play where the ball looked to be in foul territory has caused some controversy, with Oregon coach Mike White noting the need for instant replay at this level of the game.
