Nick Foles became the first Arizona alum to start at quarterback in the Super Bowl. An following his outrageous 373-yard, three-touchdown performance in the Eagles' 41-33 win on Sunday night, he's now the first Arizona alum to win Super Bowl MVP.

Foles, a native of Austin, Texas, began his college career at Michigan State, where he appeared in game as a true freshman in 2007. He then transferred to Arizona and redshirted in 2008 before throwing for 10,011 yards and 67 touchdowns over the next three years. And on Sunday — nearly six years after he the Eagles' third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft — he became the first Wildcat to earn Super Bowl MVP honors.

Arizona is the 35th different school to be represented in the Super Bowl MVP club. Twenty-four of those schools have just one MVP, while six have two, four have three (Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame and USC) and one (Michigan) has five MVPs.
