Two months into the 2017 season has allotted a handful of teams the opportunity to improve their status dramatically.

Here are October's candidates for D3 Football Team of the Month. Vote in the poll at the bottom of the page. One vote per hour. Poll closes Friday, November 3 at 2p PT.

BR-54 Plymouth State (9-1)

17-7 W vs. Bridgewater St.
16-13 (OT) W vs. Framingham St.
40-14 W @ Mass. Maritime
17-0 W vs. Westfield St.

The Panthers have won seven in a row overall, moving up 129 spots in BennettRank in October.[divider]

BR-32 Husson​ (7-1)

35-17 W vs. SUNY-Maritime
49-0 W vs. Castleton
48-21 W @ Gallaudet
​70-13 W @Anna Maria

Husson was dominant in four October games, moving up 121 spots in BennettRank and averaging more than 50 points per contest.[divider]

BR-59 Union (7-1)

30-6 W vs. St. Lawrence
27-0 W @ Rochester
28-23 W vs. Hobart

The Dutchmen moved up 116 spots in BennettRank in three October games and haven't lost since a 20-7 downer to start the season.[divider]

BR-14 Springfield (8-0)

38-7 W @ Coast Guard
35-13 W@ Merchant Marine
68-20 W vs. Catholic

Springfield has won by an average of more than 30 points per game and their three contests in October resulted in a composite score of 141-40.[divider]

BR-61 Chapman (5-2)

45-24 W vs. Whittier
45-26 W vs. Redlands
38-21 W @ La Verne
46-38 W vs. Cal Lutheran

Chapman went 4-0 in October and have not lost since starting the season 0-2. They moved up 88 spots in BennettRank in four weeks.
