One team in all of college football is a perfect 6-0 against the spread this year.
Then there are four teams that are also perfect, but for the wrong reason.

Nearing the midway point of the college football season, four schools remain who have yet to cover the point spread, and two of the squads reside in big-time conferences like the SEC and ACC.
How is it possible that these teams haven't covered once, especially since many opened the year at home to cupcakes?
Let's find out.

Arkansas
The Closest They've Come to Covering: Arkansas 42 – New Mexico State 24, Point Spread -18.5
Why They Don't Cover: The Razorbacks were just .5 points from covering at home to the Aggies a few weeks ago, but also failed to cover the -46.5 in a season opener against FCS foe Florida A&M. Then the offense mustered just 267 yards in a 28-7 home loss to TCU in week 2, and turned the ball over 4 times last week in a 48-22 thrashing at the hands of South Carolina.
Now Arkansas must travel to play Nick Saban and Alabama on Saturday as a 30-point underdog.

BYU
The Closest They've Come to Covering: Utah 19 – BYU 13, Point Spread Plus 5.5
Why They Don't Cover: When you turn the ball over seven times against Utah State and don't get past midfield the entire game against LSU, it's hard to win let alone cover the spread.
The Cougars did come within a half point of covering against rival Utah however.

Connecticut
The Closest They've Come to Covering: East Carolina 41 – Connecticut 38, Point Spread -5
Why They Don't Cover: Connecticut couldn't even cover the -5 at home to a Pirates' squad that had been blown out the previous three weeks, including to FCS squad James Madison.
The Huskies were getting 16 points at home last Friday night to Memphis, but it's hard to cover when you give up 70.

Florida State
The Closest They've Come to Covering: Florida State 26 – Wake Forest 19, Point Spread -7.5
Why They Don't Cover: Not only did FSU come within .5 of covering against Wake Forest earlier in the season, it looked like it would cover the plus 3 against Miami last week and win outright to cover for the first time all year.
And then the unthinkable happened.
What a way to end a drought!
