Texas-USC Was Not the Most-Watched College Football Game of Week 3

College football fans flocked to Fox late on Saturday night to watch USC's thrilling double-overtime win over Texas. More fans, however, tuned into Clemson's shellacking of Louisville.

The Tigers led just 10-7 midway through the second quarterback before blowing the doors off the Cardinals, who were seeking revenge for their close loss a year ago. Despite Clemson rattling off 26 consecutive points to turn a 7-7 game into a 33-7 blowout, the game attracted more than five million viewers, according to ESPN.

The ABC Saturday Night Football broadcast had a total live audience of 5,206,000 viewers, beating Texas-USC by nearly 300,000 (4,912,000). The TV-only audience for Clemson-Louisville was also higher than the total for Texas-USC, with 5,064,000 people tuning in.
