After starting to make some noise in their final seasons in the Gulf South Conference, having won a share of the GSC title in 2010, Henderson State is now the top dog in the Great American Conference – a league consisting of former Gulf South schools from Arkansas and former Lone Star Conference schools from Oklahoma.
The Reddies have won three of the GAC’s first five football championships (cross-town rival Ouachita Baptist has won the other two), including this season’s crown. They also snagged their first playoff win this season — 23-16 over Sioux Falls.
