6. Boise State University
Often drawing large crowds for home games, the well developed Boise State Broncos Club Hockey program is due for an upgrade. (Photo courtesy of Boise State Club Hockey)
This is a no brainer. Much like the recent Arizona State University promotion from ACHA club to NCAA Division 1 hockey, Boise State's club program is well developed and nationally competitive. They have a professional caliber arena in downtown Boise that would more than suffice for a new program. More than that they have a student body that is hungry for athletic success. Sharing Qwest Arena with the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads would allow there to be an unofficial partnership between the two of them, building the hockey culture in the small town of Boise, Idaho.
