1. Brian Khoury, Carnegie Mellon
In a list of dominant players, Khoury stands just above the rest. The 6-foot-3, 235-lb. Davenport, Iowa native has 13.5 sacks in eight games for the BR-97 Tartans, and actually leads the nation in sacks per game at 1.69.
It’s been a breakout season for Khoury, a junior, who totaled 3.5 sacks in his first two seasons combined. Khoury has 44 tackles this season, including 16.5 tackles for losses. His biggest game so far this season was in a 41-13 win over BR-151 St. Vincent on Oct. 24, when Khoury recorded four sacks. Khoury also had 11 tackles in a 38-14 loss to BR-41 Washington & Jefferson on Sept. 19.
