Florida freshman Grant Holloway is quite the speedster. In the Florida Relays over the weekend, Holloway was running for the hometown Gators on the anchor leg of the final event of the day, the 4X400 meter relay. Big things are expected of Holloway at Florida and he wrote the first part of his story on this spring weekend with a relay leg for the ages.
When Holloway was handed the baton the Gators were in sixth place, some 50 meters out of the lead. Florida had never led in the race, but as Holloway shifted through the gears down the back straight he was reeling in the other runners with every stride. In this video skip straight to the 3:10 mark as Holloway takes his leg and runs down the entire field to win the event for his team in a nation-leading time.
