Cheating is frowned upon in the HERO Sports 100 Days of College Football Trivia. However, this question requires it — or at least some assistance.
Of the 130 active FBS programs (including transitional member Liberty), how many schools have a name that includes the name of the city in which they're located?
For example, Memphis is located in Memphis, Tenn., Kent State is in Kent, Ohio, and Louisiana-Monroe (or ULM) is in Monroe, La.
Some notes:
All census-designated places count. For example, Stanford is located in Stanford, Calif., a census-designated place.
The school's name is not the official school name. For example, in this exercise, it's Cal, not the University of California, Berkeley. Therefore, Cal does not count.
Acronyms count (e.g. UCLA includes Los Angeles). And while UCLA is located in Westwood, Calif., a census-designated place itself, it is located within the city of Los Angeles.
The city within the school's name must be where the school is located. For example, Boston College is not located in Boston; it's located in Chestnut Hill, Mass.. Or Miami (FL) is not in Miami; it's in Coral Gables, Fla.
This is a hard question. Pull up a list of FBS teams and see if you can do it.
