Fifteen FBS teams committed, on average, at least two turnovers per game, three of whom averaged at least 2.5 turnovers. Of those three teams, one committed more than three per game.

Answer
San Jose State: 3.3
San Jose State averaged 32 percent more turnovers per game than any other FBS team. Washington State and New Mexico were those who averaged 2.5.
In 13 games, the Spartans committed 42 turnovers (22 fumbles and 20 interceptions). Unsurprisingly, their minus-2.2 turnover margin per game also ranked dead last in the FBS.
