Like many student-athletes who need money to pay the bills or to send to their family, UCF kicker Donald De La Haye has a job. Except the NCAA doesn't like his job and wants him to quit.
The junior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., has a YouTube channel called "Deestroying". Though he's only posted 30 videos, the channel has nearly 54,000 subscribers and his videos routinely top 50,00 views, including one posted on Sunday.
In the video he discusses how "some people upstairs aren't happy with my videos, and they feel like I'm violating NCAA rules."
"I guess I can't make any videos that make it obvious that I'm a student-athlete, because that makes it seem like I'm using my likeness and my image to make money and all this, which I'm really not.
He talks about using the videos and platform for his marketing major and how he sends the money earned online back to his family in Florida.
