It's generally pretty darn hard to score in lacrosse, particularly from far distances.
I played the game until my junior year of college and have coached high school on and off ever since. Much like hockey, finding the back of the net in lax takes a ton of cutting, picking and dodging in a creative offense.
It's never over until it's over. Just ask @UMassMLacrosse.

The chances of that ball actually landing in the back of the goal are about as likely as a basketball player hitting a full-court heave at the end of the half. It just doesn't happen, especially against a DI caliber goalie.
Lacrosse is one of the more underrated sports out there. Do yourself a favor and tune into the upcoming NCAA tournament. It will be well worth your time.
