The D3 Football regular season has come and gone and we're neck deep in the playoffs. Now it's time to assess the regular season performances so we can award the top players regardless of playoff seeding and whatnot.
Thus, I give you the D3 Football Fan Choice Newcomer of the Year award, handed out to the top freshman of D3 Football — based on your votes, of course.
Surprisingly, unlike in years past, this season was sparce in top offensive performers such as quarterback and wide receiver. Still, as you can see from the list below, there were plenty of young studs who made huge contributions in their first year on the team. A sign of things to come? I sure hope so.
Without further ado, here are the top freshman of the 2017 D3 Football season. Make sure to cast your vote below. And if I missed one you believe deserves mention, hit me up @stockames12 on Twitter.
Poll closes at NOON Pacific, Friday December 1, 2017.
