BYU should be good once again in 2017, though their win total may be cut due to an awfully challenging schedule.
The Cougars are in a weird position at quarterback as Tanner Mangum will be back under center replacing Taysom Hill. Mangum started 12 games as a freshman (2015) after Hill was injured, then spent most of last season backing up the mercurial dual-threat athlete. After passing for over 3,350 yards and for 23 touchdowns as a freshman, Mangum brings his own hype back to the field.
The defense should be good – especially in the back seven as all the linebackers that matter return – setting the Cougars up for another solid year.
