Houston has been very good of late. The problem with success as a Group of 5 school though is that winning ultimately leads to your head coach being snapped up and moving on to bigger things. That is exactly what has happened to Houston as Tom Herman is now the main man at Texas and Major Applewhite has to step in to continue the program's unprecedented run.
The Cougars also have to overcome losing perhaps the nations best dual-threat quarterback now that Greg Ward Jr. has moved on. Waiting in the wings though is Kyle Allen, a transfer from Texas A&M who was once seen as the top prep quarterback in the nation.
