Bill Snyder has Kansas State in an interesting position entering the 2017 season. The Wildcats were supposed to be a 6-6 squad with limited upside last fall, but Snyder worked his magic and coached them to a 9-4 season that was above anyone's expectations. What can he do for an encore?
Oklahoma is still the team to beat in the Big 12, but the Sooners did lose a lot at the skill positions. Everyone else in the league either has questions or is fully in transition so Kansas State – with its seasoned secondary and offensive line – seems to have as good a shot as anybody to step up.
And they have Bill Snyder.
