Mississippi may be banned from postseason play in 2017, but that doesn't mean that the Rebels are going to take the season off.
Ole Miss may still be fighting through the mire of investigations into the program, but Hugh Freeze has the pieces to put together an elite offensive team this fall, especially when the Rebels air out the ball. Defensively the team cannot be as bad as they were in 2016. New defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff will have his work cut out to provide an immediate turnaround, but the team is loaded with talented athletes so the reason for hype in Oxford is real.
