It may have been below the national radar, but in 2016 UTSA set a modern era college football record by playing in a bowl game in just their sixth season of operation.
Last fall the Roadrunners finished 6-7, taking down traditional Group of 5 powers Southern Miss and Middle Tennessee. With over half the starters returning on both sides of the ball it is easy to see why the hype is building in San Antonio for the 2017 season.
