This is not the same old Vanderbilt that you are used to seeing barely treading water at the foot of the SEC. Instead, this is a capable football team, with a quarterback that is only getting better and one of the best running backs in the entire conference.
It is always going to be hard for Vandy to compete with the likes of Florida and Tennessee in the SEC East. This year though the 'Dores have momentum on their side after a strong finish to 2016. They also have quarterback Kyle Shurmur and running back Ralph Webb, a couple of players who can take over games.
