When Oklahoma beat Ohio State 31-16 in Columbus on September 9, Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield planted an Oklahoma flag on the 50-yard-line. When Iowa State beat Oklahoma in Norman Saturday, they returned the favor.

Iowa State was led by redshirt senior backup quarterback Kyle Kempt, making the first start of his career.
It significantly hurt Oklahoma's college football playoff chances, but didn't knock them out completely. Still, the flag had to sting.
