Les Miles coached football for 37 consecutive seasons from 1980-2016. When he wasn't coaching football in 2017 and 2018, he was reading scripts and auditioning for movies.
“I don’t know that anybody ever doesn’t dream at one point in time, ‘I’m going to be in a movie,’” Miles told The Advocate last year. “I don’t know how you don’t think that way. As a child, I wanted to be the president of the United States, wanted to be a head football coach and wanted to be an actor in a movie. We only get one go-around at this thing called life. There’s no do-overs.”
Miles has appeared in a handful of projections, including a Dos Equis commercial, and, now, a movie about the Challenger disaster, appropriately named "The Challenger Disaster." It was released on Friday, Jan. 25.
