It's not often that a nameplate is the best part of a jersey. Wayne State's military appreciation uniforms have the best nameplates in college football history.
The Warriors are celebrating 100 years of athletics this weekend when they host Saginaw Valley State at Tom Adams Field. Their quest to improve their record to 2-1 will include new uniforms that feature the names of Medal of Honor recipients.

There are over 3,500 Medal of Honor recipients in United States history, therefore while it's impossible for Wayne State to honor all of them, they can still include a lot. For example, linebacker Anthony Pittman's jersey has the name of James Stoddard, who was a Union Navy soldier during the Civil War.
