For the first time in the history of the College Football Playoff Rankings, Alabama is not ranked in the top six.
The Crimson Tide fell from No. 5 after their second loss of the regular season and were replaced by Utah, who has won eight games in a row after their September loss to USC. The Utes fended off Oklahoma, who moved up to No. 6 after a Bedlam win over Oklahoma State and appear to need help in reaching their fourth playoff in six seasons.
