Florida State fired head coach Willie Taggart on Sunday, one day after the Seminoles lost to Miami (FL), Taggart's 12th loss in his 21 games in Tallahassee.
With the dismissal, Taggart will collect a sizable buyout per his six-year, $30-million contract that doesn't expire until Jan. 31, 2023. His buyout is 85 percent of his remaining contract, therefore depending what day he is actually terminated, he will be owed in the neighborhood of $18-20 million.
