No. 66 Beau Benzschawel
Wisconsin – G
“I love his approach. I love the way he plays. I think it’s been good for him, and he’s been good for this team. I think he can still get better and has the ability and the knowledge and the want to get better, and that’s encouraging.”
That was Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst on then-redshirt freshman offensive lineman Beau Benzschawel in November 2015. Benzschawel wasn't bad in eight games (all starts) three years ago but he has gotten a heck of a lot better. Now an All-American who passed on the 2018 NFL Draft for another season in Madison, the Badgers' right guard is the best No. 66 in the country and leads the best offensive line in the country.
“Plus there’s stuff I want to prove to myself,” said Benzschawel in February of his decision to pass on the draft. “The potential of how good we can be is something to look forward to. We have some unfinished business here.”
Benzschawel is the third Badger to appear on the list and he won't be the last.
