But if things would have gone differently in Vermillion, South Dakota, on Saturday, Dukes fans would have been in for a big twist. Instead, USD hit a 29-yard field goal with seven seconds left and the Coyotes won 31-28.
It would have been one heckuva swerve, especially since JMU fans were tweeting at Fitting and "GameDay" for a few weeks feeling confident the show was coming.
If the Penguins pulled off the win, though, ESPN would be highlighting what YSU President Jim Tressel and head coach Bo Pelini are doing for the football program along with reuniting with their first adopted FCS son, NDSU.
