The 2017 NFL Draft will see talented college football players finding new homes in the NFL come April. Among them are several stars off the roster of the Florida Gators.
In recent years, the Gators have produced notable NFL players such as Jordan Reed (Rd. 3, 2013 — Washington Redskins), Reggie Nelson (1, 2007 — Jacksonville Jaguars), Dante Fowler (1, 2015 — Jacksonville Jaguars) and Keanu Neal (1, 2016 — Atlanta Falcons).
This year's class is loaded, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.
HEROSports.com's NFL Draft Analyst Todd Worly has ranked four Florida prospects in the Top 60 — all within the Top 35.
Here are his assessments of each:
Davis plays with explosiveness and range similar to that of Vanderbilt star Zach Cunningham, but his feet and change-of-direction may not be quite as good. |
With his combination of hands, hips, explosiveness and feet, Brantley has the potential to become one of the best interior pass rushers in the league. |
Tabor’s explosiveness and recovery speed may be slightly behind the corners above him on this list, but the former Gator still has the ability to step in and start on day one. |
A big corner with good ball skills, Wilson is perfect to match up with receivers and tight ends who seem to get bigger and bigger every year in the NFL. He earned Second Team All-SEC honors as a junior before deciding to turn pro earlier this month. |
