We're hitting the end of the NFL regular season, one week to go, and some of this year's FCS rookie class really impressed. In all, 23 FCS/NFL rookies are active this week and 26 FCS rookies have played in games this year — including 10 free agents (15 FCS products were drafted this spring).

So here are some quick takeaways from the FCS/NFL rookie class of 2017.
- Five FCS/NFL rookies have scored touchdowns: Jamal Agnew, Tarik Cohen, Dylan Cole, Cooper Kupp and Patrick Ricard.
- Eight have started at least one game: Chase Allen, Tarik Cohen, Dylan Cole, Julie'n Davenport, Samson Ebukam, Cooper Kupp, Avery Moss and Chad Williams, and Jamal Agnew is the starter KR and PR for Detroit.
- Along with the 23 FCS/NFL rookies on active rosters, there are another 30 players either on the practice squad or the reserve list — so 53 total FCS/NFL rookies, with nearly a dozen rookie signees just in the past month to six weeks.
- This is the time of year where those young inactive players begin to get moved up to the active roster when injuries happen and when teams want to see what the rookies can do. So keep an eye on that this weekend.[divider]
