New York Jets
2016: 5-11, 4th Place AFC East
2017 Draft: No. 6
The New York Jets had a forgettable 2016 and enter 2017 with a lot of question. Who will be the quarterback? Who will be the left tackle? Is the defense still near-elite?
The 2017 NFL Draft is deep in defenders at all three levels. Which route the Jets end up taking may be determined by how much they believe in Christian Hackenberg or the veteran free agent market at QB.

Needs
1. QB — Hackenberg has never taken an NFL snap in the regular season. Ryan Fitzpatrick and Geno Smith are free agents.
2. OL — Ryan Clady was cut after another injury-riddled season.
3. CB — Darrelle Revis struggled in 2016 and could be a cap casualty.
4. LB — Corey Lemonier and Josh Martin are free agents and Darron Lee struggled in 2016.
The Jets also own picks No. 39 and 70 through Round 3.

Mitch Trubisky, QB — North Carolina
Trubisky is the consensus best quarterback prospect in this year's draft and it's probably about time the Jets invest this kind of draft capital in a fix at the position. The problem is, Trubisky's resume is a shallow and he doesn't bring the kind of upside teams typically seek when selecting a player this high.

Malik Hooker, FS — Ohio State
Hooker is generally considered the best free safety in the class, despite having labrum and hernia surgery, and still has a shot to go in the top 5. His best attribute is his range, but the sky is the limit here.

Reuben Foster, ILB — Alabama
Foster is the best linebacker in the class and has the range and explosiveness to excel in all aspects. Typically No. 6 is a bit high for an inside linebacker, but Foster is pretty special.

Marshon Lattimore, CB — Ohio State
Lattimore separates himself from the rest of the cornerback class with elite athleticism and more specifically the fluid hips it takes to stick to receivers like velcro. While the Jets have a few bigger needs (QB, OL), if Lattimore is available it will be tough for GM Mike Maccagnan to select another player.

Taco Charlton, DE — Michigan
Charlton can beat tackles with speed, power and a combination of both. He's also shown good pursuit and the ability to move around the line and make plays.
