Alabama Would Throttle UCF, Says Oddsmakers

UCF didn't lose a game all season, finishing the year 13-0 and proclaiming themselves national champions. They would lose to the real national champions, Alabama, say oddsmakers. By three touchdowns.

The Knights will not play the Crimson Tide next weekend or any other weekend this year, nor should they. The season is over and Alabama won the championship. But if they were to play, what would the line be? Alabama by a mile says two experts.

Todd Fuhrman, a former oddsmaker at Caesar's Palace, and David Payne, a professional sports bettor, are co-hosts of Bet the Board, a podcast on sports betting. The pair were asked to give a hypothetical line for a neutral-site Alabama-UCF game. Their answer: Alabama by 21.

"If you think the level of focus in a potential real national title game is the same as Auburn in the Peach Bowl you've lost your mind," Fuhrman tweeted at someone who said the line doesn't matter because UCF was double-digit underdogs vs. Auburn.

Although it's undeniable that Alabama would be heavy favorites, the three-touchdown line is a bit surprising.
