The Lipscomb men’s basketball team is heading to the 2025 NCAA Tournament after winning the Atlantic Sun Conference. In the ASUN Tourney, it defeated Central Arkansas 84-66, Queens 81-75, and North Alabama 76-65 in the championship game.
The Bisons are 25-9 this season and on a six-game winning streak. This is their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament and their first since 2018.

In 2025, Lipscomb basketball is making its second appearance in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament.
The Bisons also reached the tourney in 2018.

Lipscomb Basketball NCAA Tournament Wins
Lipscomb has not won a game in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament. The Bisons are 0-2, losing to North Carolina in 2018 and Iowa State in 2025.
Lipscomb Basketball Coach Lennie Acuff
Lennie Acuff has been Lipscomb’s head coach since 2019.
He spent the previous 22 seasons as Alabama–Huntsville’s head coach, where Acuff was an eight-time Coach of the Year in the Gulf South Conference, which is Division 2.
Acuff went 16-16, 15-12, and 14-19 in his first three seasons at Lipscomb before three straight 20-win seasons. The Bisons finished 20-13 in 2022-23, 20-12 in 2023-24, and are 25-9 this season.
