Queens Basketball NCAA Tournament History

The Queens men’s basketball team is heading to the 2026 NCAA Tournament after winning the Atlantic Sun Conference. In the ASUN Tournament, it defeated West Georgia 71-63, Austin Peay 90-83, and Central Arkansas 98-93 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.

The Royals are 21-13 entering the Big Dance and on a 3-game winning streak.

Queens NCAA Tournament Appearances

In 2026, Queens basketball will make its 1st appearance in the Division I NCAA Tournament.

The school joined DI in 2022.

Queens Basketball NCAA Tournament Wins

Queens has not won a game in the Division I NCAA Tournament, making its first appearance in 2026.

Queens Basketball Coach Grant Leonard

Grant Leonard has been the head coach since 2022. He was previously the associate head coach for six years.

In four seasons under Leonard, the Royals have had three winning seasons, highlighted by back-to-back 20-win seasons.

In 2024-25, Queens finished 20-15 and earned a spot in the CBI, beating Northern Arizona in the first round. This season, the Royals punched their ticket to their first-ever DI NCAA Tournament.
