Kansas beat UTEP on the road on Sept. 12, 2009. That was their last road win. Nearly 3,000 days ago.
The Jayhawks were hoping to end that 41-game losing streak on Saturday with a trip to Ohio. That's not going to happen. They fell behind 18-0 early and as of this writing they were down 25-7 midway through the second quarter.
One reason is an inept offense that ran a play that may suggest the offensive line doesn't like quarterback Peyton Bender very much. While that's not true, because they were running a quick pass in which the line cuts, it was still a gentle reminder why Kansas can't win.
Bender had a receiver wide open in the middle of the field but refused to throw the ball.
