I’m picking South Alabama to win but for Southern Miss to cover the spread at +17.5. I also anticipate the game will go Over 53.5 total points.
I don’t believe the Golden Eagles are as bad as their record might indicate. They’re on a five-game losing streak, but a few of those contests have been pretty competitive. I can see them finding the end zone a few times and keeping this week’s matchup close.
South Alabama quarterback Carter Bradley and the Jaguars might have to score 40 or more points to win. But I think their offense is capable of doing just that.
