Two of the best teams in the AAC will play each other this week.
Tulane, which is ranked No. 6 in the HERO Sports Group of Five media poll this week, will take on North Texas, which is ranked 13th after a loss to Memphis.
The Green Wave may be 5-2, but two of those losses were against Power Four teams as they are 3-0 in conference play. The Mean Green are 5-2 overall and 2-1 against AAC teams, so they still have a shot of making the conference championship, but they’ll likely need to defeat Tulane for that to happen.

Tulane vs. North Texas Prediction
I predict Tulane will win but North Texas will cover the spread at +7.5. I also project the game will go Over 68.5 total points.
Similar to UNT’s game against Memphis last week, this could be a close contest that features a ton of points.
The Mean Green have scored at least 41 points in each of their last four contests. Tulane has gone over 40 points in three of its last four outings.
I think North Texas has a very good shot of winning this game. The Mean Green are a good team and are more than capable of winning this matchup considering it’s at home.
But I ultimately think Tulane’s defense will make the plays it needs to in order to win. The Green Wave have allowed 20 or fewer points in each of their last three games, all against AAC foes.
I anticipate this will be an exciting showdown. But I think Tulane is well-balanced enough to earn a victory here.
