Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo, and Western Michigan will be the teams in the MAC in 2024.
That means there will be 12 teams in the Mid-American Conference.
This has been the makeup of the MAC for some time. However, UMass will be a part of the conference again in 2025 and will play five MAC teams this year. UMass has been an independent program since 2015 and was a member of the MAC before that.
It’s possible the MAC adds one more team to make it an even 14 members soon, or the league could expand even more if it wanted to in the next few years.
