Miller is a two-time FCS national championship-winning quarterback, leading the Bison to titles in the 2021 and 2024 seasons. He started the final 54 straight games of his career and finished with a 45-11 overall record as the starting QB.
The Iowa native finished the 2023 season as PFF’s No. 1-graded FCS quarterback, and last fall he finished No. 2. Miller finished second in the 2024 Walter Payton Award voting, which is awarded to the best FCS offensive player.

Miller may not have the physical stature or rocket arm of Wentz or Lance, but he was playing at as high a level last year as any past NDSU quarterback. He could carve out a Stick-like career of being a valuable backup quarterback in the NFL.
Miller had total command of the NDSU offense with the ability to make presnap and postsnap adjustments. Very rarely could a defense confuse him. And while the arm strength isn’t an eye-popping first-round level talent, he can make all the throws needed. Miller has dual-threat abilities, is efficient, takes care of the ball, and plays in a pro-friendly system.
An impressive East-West Shrine Bowl and pro day have helped boost Miller’s stock into a potential Day 3 pick. Another feather in Miller’s cap is the first film scouts will put on, and that’s against any FBS opponents. At Colorado and dueling Shedeur Sanders last fall, Miller drew rave reviews after he went 18/22 for 277 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 81 yards and two more scores.
