2020 FCS Jersey Countdown: 4 — The Best Player Who Wears No. 4 Is Brown’s EJ Perry

Brown Athletics

Welcome to the 2020 FCS Jersey Countdown.

Throughout the May-September months, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-1. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2019 season.

The full countdown can be found here.

*Note: Jersey numbers are based on 2019 rosters.

4: EJ Perry, QB (Sr.) — Brown

A 2-star recruit out of Andover, Massachusetts, Perry began his collegiate career at Boston College. He was the No. 2 QB there as a freshman and sophomore in 2017 and 2018, seeing limited playing time.

Perry decided to transfer and out of a few options, he chose to play for Brown head coach and his uncle James Perry.

A record-breaking QB in high school, Perry showed his electricity again after winning the starting job. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder led the FCS in total offense with 367.8 yards per game, which is an Ivy League record.

Perry went 251-of-418 passing for 2,948 yards, 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also led the team with 730 yards rushing and eight TDs.

The 2019 First Team All-Ivy League selection enters this season a HERO Sports Third Team All-American.

94 YARDS TO THE HOUSE!

EJ Perry goes off for a 94-yard TD to put the Bears up 35-24 on Bryant with 6:14 to play!

Perry for the Game:
• Passing: 20-31, 176 YDS, 3 TD
• Rushing: 15 for 223 YDS, 2 TD#GoBruno #FASTForward 🐻🏈https://t.co/fqjzcUexAw pic.twitter.com/JnoIgcuaQk
