77: Wyatt Musser, OL (Sr.) — Eastern Washington
Musser enters his sixth year of college football, adding to his 46 games played and 20 starts.
As a three-star high school recruit out of Kennewick, he was ranked the No. 5 offensive tackle and the No. 20 overall recruit in the state of Washington. He chose EWU over offers from Army, Colorado State, Idaho, Nevada, and Weber State, according to 247Sports.
Musser played in 26 games as a redshirt freshman and sophomore in 2018 and 2019, helping EWU set team records in rushing yards (3,839) and rushing touchdowns (41) during the team’s 2018 run to the national title game.
He entered the starting lineup in the spring of 2021, starting all seven games. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound guard earned All-Big Sky Conference Second Team honors. Musser continued to be a key presence on the o-line last fall. He started all 13 games and was named to the All-Conference Third Team. The EWU offense enjoyed another fantastic season, leading the FCS with 555.7 yards of total offense per game and ranking No. 2 with 44.0 points per game.
The Eagles adjust to life without Walter Payton Award QB Eric Barriere this season. A lot of weapons at the skilled position remain, though, and Musser leads an offensive line tasked with opening running lanes and keeping the new starting quarterback comfortable.
