A new Daily Dose will be published multiple times a week.

Holy Cross & Georgetown To Play At Fenway Park

Holy Cross will host Georgetown in an FCS football game and Patriot League contest this upcoming season at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

The game will be on Saturday, Nov. 22.

“What an exciting opportunity for our student-athletes, staff, and the entire Crusader community to experience Holy Cross football at the most iconic venue in all of sports. We are excited to work with Fenway Park Events to welcome families, fans, and friends from both schools to create a once-in-a-lifetime memory,” said Kit Hughes, Holy Cross Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. “Fenway Park is synonymous with rich history and tradition, home to one of the best teams and some of the best moments in professional sports history, and we are thrilled for the chance for our student-athletes to play in such a unique environment.”

Holy Cross has some history at Fenway Park. The Crusaders played 21 football games there between 1916 and 1956. The women’s hockey team recently played there as part of the 2023 Frozen Fenway event.

“It is an incredible opportunity for our program to be able to play at historic Fenway Park,” said Holy Cross football head coach Dan Curran. “Our student-athletes, alumni, and the entire Holy Cross community are so excited to take on Georgetown University in what should be an amazing environment.”

FCS Draft Prospects Ranked In “The Beast”

The Athletic’s Dane Brugler released his annual NFL Draft guide, “The Beast.” It has rankings for every position group heading into the draft.

Below are FCS players who ranked in the Top 30 of their position group. Brugler only ranked 10 players in the specialists section.

With the transfer portal creating more player movement, NFL Draft picks for FCS players who transferred to the FBS are counted as: Any players who played multiple seasons in the FCS before playing their final season in the FBS will be counted as draft picks from the FCS. Players who started their college careers in the FCS but then played multiple seasons in the FBS won’t be counted.

In parentheses is where Brugler projects players to be selected. FA means undrafted free agent.
