Brock Spack Gets Contract Extension
Illinois State head coach Brock Spack has received a contract extension through the 2027 season.
This fall will be his 17th season leading ISU. Spack has an overall record of 111-74 while the Redbirds have reached the FCS playoffs six times under his leadership, including an appearance in the FCS national championship game during the 2014 season.
Last year, ISU finished 9-3 during the regular season and advanced to the second round before losing at UC Davis. The Redbirds will be an experienced team this fall, returning their starting QB Tommy Rittenhouse, two 1,000-yard RBs Wenkers Wright and Mason King, 2024 1,100-yard WR Daniel Sobkowicz, 2024 900-yard WR Xavier Loyd, three OL with at least 400 snaps in 2024, leading tackler Tye Niekamp, and a talented secondary.
